I'm back and very happy  to share my world back with you :) ^_^ . I told you that I would be away for my friends wedding and after that I again never got the time to tell you :((.  All this while I was at my sis place where I had aweesoommeee timeeee :* :). Reason for me and bro staying at my sis place was that my parents were holidaying in Dubai. You girls would be thinking that I must have given my parents a longgggg list...Well, I'm a kid who never tells anyone to buy stuff for me :). I just get them without telling  ^_^. I will talk about it in my next post :).

Okkk ...so coming back to my today's review...Diana of London- Protouch Concealer /Instant Highlighter  05 is the product.. Ive been using this product for a while and this is what I think about it. Read on to know more about it :))).

Price : INR. 395/- for 10ml.

Packaging : It comes in a transparent slim cylindrical bottle with a screw cap flock applicator. The bottle has Diana of London trade mark with Protouch Concealer /Instant Highlighter written on it on one side and all other details of the make mentioned on the other side.

Directions of use: This easy to apply creamy texture can be used:

• On its own, on bare skin for a naturally luminous and even complexion, applied to dark areas on the face (dark circles, fine lines, hollow of the chin, etc.)
• On top of foundation, to add maximum radiance to makeup. Apply the texture directly with the flock applicator, and then gently pat with fingertips to blend in.

My Experience with Diana of London- Protouch Concealer /Instant Highlighter  05: I have these few acne marks on my face and I wanted a miracle product that would do the trick. I have been on a hunt for "THE CONCEALER" for a long time that's when I happen to see Diana of London counter @ a store in Panaji which opened about a six months back. The concealer is very decently priced <3 <3 and the amount in the bottle too is very good. The ingredient list is missing on the bottle and also on the Diana of London site :(((. The packaging is similar to most liquid concealers :(( not impressed with that ...but HEY...I go by the saying...DO NOT JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER ^_^...The SA applied Golden Beige 05 with the flock applicator on my marks, gave a pat or two and offered me a mirror.

The texture of the liquid is very sssmmmoooooooth ..very creamy *_* ^_^.  I was impressed that the marks reduced A LOTTTT... :D ...It is very light on the skin and feels like there is nothing on the skin *kisses* ..Check out the blended product on my wrist :)))).

For light pigmentation apply the product once on the spot and pat. For darker pigmentation , apply it twice as it is build able and does not give cakey  look.  I was so happy that I couldn't stop smiling and I purchased it. There are 5 shades to choose from *happy dance**happy dance*. The application technique can be followed as mentioned by the company too. Next day I applied it before foundation and was very much happy the way it blended onto my skin :). It lasted me good 6-7 hours with loose powder to seal it :).

My final word on this product is that it is a worth buying and the range of shades is awesome :))). It is very pigmented and will last a long time :)). Please go try it for yourself :))).It will surely impress you ^_^ *nodding*. From this brand I'm wanting to buy Diana of London 2000 kisses wonderful lipsticks as I've heard a lot about them :)))).

BEWARE!!!!Fake MAYBELLINE products in the market.

Today's post has been in my draft for a very long time ( Dec '12). A few days before my pencil eyeliner was about to get over  I went to the market to purchase one for my self :)))). I didn't own a Maybelline Colossal retractable pen so I told the owner of the shop that I wanted one. Before I could make the payment  ...he showed me a felt tip Maybelline pen in Black. I was surprised at the fact that I didn't know about it. Finally I paid for both and returned home. I used the colossal many a times and every time I found that it would smudge and would not remain on my waterline. I wondered how can a well known brand fool its customers like that so I mailed a letter to the Team of Maybelline. Here are the snapshot of the letter that I took today :

After sending and receiving a lot of mails I got my ORIGINAL COLOSSAL FROM THE TEAM of Maybelline. I have no issues that the team did not replace both the fake items . What matters is that they are going to stop the FAKES IN THE MARKET as it  brings down the economy of the country. Result of this letter is the new thing going on FB- Maybelline page "SPOT THE FAKEs in your city" :)) :D ..HAPPPYYYY TO SEEE THAT :))))).

My friend Sneha has been on a hunt for Ubtan Powder for weeks.Ookkk....Now I got to define the term for my International friends who do not know what I'm talking about. UBTAN POWDER is an Ayurvedic mixture containing purifying herbs and legumes like Gulab Patti, Nagar Motha, Ambawadi, Amla, Wasa, Bavchi, Orange Peel, Jatamansi, Kapoor, Katchri & Chandan Powder. Ubtan is a natural exfoliant leading to healthy, extra soft & youthful glowing skin.

 

 

So back to the story....She went to the local market but returned home without it as it was unavailable :( . She told me to find out about it from my grandmother how to make UBTAN POWDER AT HOME. I never got the time to ask her and forgot completely about it. Saturdays are grocery shopping days... so while at the super market my eyes fell on the text UBTAN on the pack :D. hehehe ..I picked up TWO but since I follow the policy of testing it first and then recommending it to others I kept the other back on the shelf :(. No this Ubtan was in soap form which I had never heared of before. So there it went into my cart and HOME :)) :D. Read on to know more about this UBTAN scrub :))).

My Experience with Anuspa UBTAN SCRUB : I've been using AnuSpa UBTAN SCRUB for past few weeks now :) once a week as mentioned on the pack. Also I have combi-oily skin so YYAAYYYY!!!! :*:* :**** to that :) :D I can use it. This soap is very economical and I have no issues with the packaging. The soap sits in place inside the glossy paper cover :D :)). Its availability I doubt in other cities but hey they have online site. I used it like any other scrub and found that the soap does not melt tho it is said 72% TFM and 8% Ubtan :)).

 

 

I made the soap wet and used it in circular motion. The tiny beads in the soap indeed gave me the feeling of being in the spa :D.

 

 

 

After washing off the scrub water the skin was sooooffftttt and smoooooth :)))..That's what the scrub is meant for rt?? :)) . I eagerly wait for the weekend so that I under go the same experience :))). I prefer using this soap instead of power is for the reason that it is packed with soap+ubtan :))).

 

My final verdict on the product : I would defiantly recommend to you all to go ahead and try for yourself :))). It stays true to its claims and am very happy about it *happy dance* *happy dance*:*. I'm wanting to purchase soaps from the site :))).

Today being SATURDAY I woke up late..ummm late would be 7:10ish :P. I usually wake up at 5:30 take the dogs for a run and be back home in 45 mins. My body clock wakes me up on time.... but for the last few days its been very chilly so I switched of the fan and went back to sleep :P *_* . Anyway after breakfast did lil bit of cleaning, surfed the net and replied to all your lovely comment *_* ^_^ . Meantime I saw my mum leave in a hurry and I guessed she was heading towards the supermarket downstairs :)). I usually have issues stepping out of home without any grooming done .But ..hey WTH.. so I applied lil bit of Maybelline BB Cream and Lotus lip balm and dashed across the room to follow my mum :D. On reaching down I couldn't find my mum on the lower level of the market so I asked the SA and she directed me towards the top floor. AAHHHAAAA this is where I wanted to be *grin*hehehehhe :))). FOUND MY MUM and I turned to look out what I could review next for you lovely ladies :))). My eyes fell on the text  INSTANTLY PERFECT SKIN :))))))) *grin* again. I picked it up and added my NEW item to the rest of the items collected by my mum. On reaching home I wanted to checkout the cream so badly that I didn't even listen what my mum was telling me. Anyway... I applied the cream as I would normally do with other moisturizers with light circular strokes from the middle of the face towards the outside. Now I wanted to understand what was in it so I sat down to make a list of things present in Maybelline and Garnier BB Cream. To make the list I found that the text on Maybelline tube was very small :(((....  3:)  I sneaked into my bros room to get my hands on the magnifying glass :P..Ohh hope you girls don't think it belongs to him ...IT BELONGS TO ME ^_^ ...I  pass it to him when he was in college... I found what I was hunting for in his room and silently marched out. He didn't even come to know I was in his room...heheheheheh...3:) *evil laugh*. With the glass in one hand and the tube in the other I zoomed in and out to make the list *phew*. Finally the list was done and here is the review of BOTH the BB CREAMS :)))

My Experience with Maybelline BB Cream

<3 the packaging but one cannot figure out how much of the product is still left inside.
<3 the NATURAL shade but there are two more to choose from for other skin color beauties.
<3 the citrus fragrance which is from Limohene + Hexyl Cinnamal(refer ingredients list :D)
It is thin in consistency which is result of aqua+glycerol but is light on the skin which I <3.It did not even out skin as much as Garnier did though same ingredients are present in Maybelline too. Presence of Talc in the cream give the white cast on the skin which is absent in Garnier. This cream does not cover up any blemishes and is merely a moisturizer for clear face beauties : ).Even upon layering a multiple times it fails to conceal.So coming to the price ....its a bit expensive.


Final verdict
Maybelline BB Cream does FRESHENS<BRIGHTENS<PROTECTS<HYDRATES<SMOOTHES skin but fails to EVENOUT<CONCEALS FLAWS and is COSTLY.

My Experience with Garnier BB Cream
<3 the packaging but the amount left in the tube cant be guessed.
<3 the NATURAL shade but other color beauties may have issues with it.
<3 the rose fragrance from Citronellol.
<3 the consistency is thick compared to Maybelline is because of presence of Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride - a dry, silky oil which once applied on skin doesn't feel oily & heavy. It gives a nice sheen to the skin : ). But after few hours combi & oily skin people will have a slightly oily feeling : (so dusting lil bit of power should set things in place : ). This cream does not cover up blemishes fully even upon layering : (. But is good for clear skin beauties who would not want to pay INR.199/- for a BB cream but would be happy to pay only INR.99/- for a good tinted BB cream : )

Final verdict
Garnier BB Cream does give FAIRER<GLOWING<SMOOTH< MOISTURIZED skin but fails to EVEN OUT THE SKINTONE and is dirt CHEAP.
I would recommend GARNIER BB CREAM to ladies with a clear face who require FAIRER <GLOWING < SMOOTH< MOISTURIZED skin for just INR.99/- instead of paying the same for MAYBELLINE BB CREAM of INR.199/- which has the same functionality as Garnier.

Hope you all pretty ladies liked the comparison between the two. Let me know what you think about the BB Creams and their functionality. Do they really work like they should ??

Hmmm...By now you all must be thinking that I'm a brand ambassador of OLIVIA...Hmmm :P... But frankly I'm not *_*..But it would be a very good feeling to promote a brand like it as till date I've not had any issues ^_^. Right now there is a exhibition going on at Don Bosco's and there is a stall of OLIVIA .So ladies hurry to test the products for yourself :D :))...Okk before that I would like to inform a few readers about the term "PAN CAKE". Well...pancake make-up gives full-coverage primarily used  to cover major skin discolouration, scars, tattoos or facial hair.It give the skin a flawless finish required in film, television, theatre or photography settings.

My Experience with Olivia Waterproof Pan-Cake: This pan is very affordable and is very compact to carry around. This is the only packaging of Olivia that is in Black+Gold which I completely adore.I wish that the other products from this brand change the color and make it BLACK+GOLD :))). I love the way the unit is divided into 2 part:one part for the sponge and the other for the cake. There are lots of shades available from the pan cake range :)))...*happy dance*:D...*happy dance*:P..

To get a shade closest to your skin color is to swatch it on the jaw line and check it out in the sun :))..I know it is bit of work to walk up and down but it is worth it :))).So no issues with regards to that :))). My shade Golden Yellow 21 is closest to my skin color as I have yellow undertones :)).

Before continuing the skin and the makeup has to be prepared. Now coming to the preparation of the skin: Gently exfoliate the skin with a mild cleanser,pat dry and apply light moisturiser. A well moisturised face will allow for the best streak-free coverage. Preparation of makeup includes damping the cake and sponge with water and squeezing out the excess out.

After blending

Start the application of the makeup from the centre of the forehead. Use light, quick, upward strokes in a "star burst pattern" to cover the forehead. The same should be followed up on the cheeks. For the nose downward, swipes should be followed by upward swipes for total coverage.  For the eyes lightly daubing the makeup over the lid and under the brow. Make sure that the hair and jaw lines are thoroughly blended. It is always best to apply several thin layers of makeup instead of one thick layer. Once the makeup is dry, wipe the makeup area with a soft cloth for a flawless, matte finish.

My final word on Olivia Waterproof Pan-Cake is a product for special occasions where there is
going to be ultra-light or low light situations..:)))... All pancake makeup give matte finish which is a good thing. What I don't like about it is that it is impossible to do touch ups on the go if it is more than 5-6 hrs. This cake will last me a long time :))) as it is for occasitions ONLY :D :)...Definitely worth buying :))) ^_^ *_*. Waiting for launch of blushers from this wonderful brand :)).

3rd DIY!!! How to make your own statement necklace?

Hey pretty ladies,

I've been bit busy with work but don't you worry I'M BACK with yet another DIY :D :)))...I feel very happy and proud to create stuff. It gives me satisfaction and peace after a hard days work. It takes away all my stress and energises me to face the world back again :)).

I've been searching various materials to make a statement necklace but never actually got the materials required for it :(((. I had the afternoon off ,so I went to the store and just picked up stuff randomly :))). I challenged myself to make the statement neck piece of the stuff that I had just purchased.

You will need the following:

1. Scissor
2. Fabric glue
3. Desired length of sequins nylon ribbon
4. Desired length of cord/string
5. Needle and thread

Procedure:
1. Think of a pattern for the statement necklace and draw it out on paper to avoid any mistakes...(I skipped and just started doing it without sketching :))).

2. Cut out the sequins nylon ribbon according to the pattern drawn by you. 

3.Fold the top to make a loop.

4. Pass the cord/string between the fold. Apply fabric glue to the top and bottom as shown in the picture.

5. Hold the sequins nylon ribbon for some time as mentioned on the fabric glue instructions.

6. Place the necklace under a heavy object for a hour or two or in the sun for drying.

7. Next step is to make an 'O' as shown in the picture.

8. You can either stitch it or apply glue to it & let it dry.

9. After drying pass this loop between the ends of the string.

 10. And cut the end of the 'O'.

11. Apply fabric glue to the 'O' to prevent the fibres from coming out loose.

12. Tadddaaaaaa!!! Your very own 'STATEMENT NECKLACE' is readdyyyy!!! Wear it with your
